RAKU. Through many years of exploration with this technique, artist and creator Leslie Bergeron has been fascinated by the challenge of attempting to control the vital essence of nature- The Fire. Although the fire itself is uncontrollable, the challenge is to use its full potential meanwhile NOT RELYING on its magnificent effects to create FOR HER. Her “Vessels” are not only a result of the process. Her forms are built on an initial foundation of contrast- sharp against soft, smooth against texture, light against dark, wide against narrow, fun against serious. She challenges herself with the form itself before allowing the fire to make its indelible imprint upon the highly designed surfaces. Her influence is her mind, her drive is the flame.
It is this never ending challenge that holds her purpose, the struggle to create a piece of “Exquisite Nature.” As all raku pieces are hand made, no two will be exactly alike.

Although every possible effort is made to stock all items, short delays may occur as a result of high demand, slow production or transportation logistics. Unfortunately we can not control inventory accuracy levels from all our suppliers. Accent i will do their utmost to minimize any inconvenience this may cause so that you will receive your purchase in a timely and professional manner. Most items can be re-stocked within a few days. But due to the fact that many items are hand made, some deliveries could take approximately four to twelve weeks.
